UNMIL extends condolence to Hassan Jalloh’s family

The United Nations Mission in Liberia has extended its sincere condolence to the family of Mr. Hassan Jalloh, who died on Monday, March 30, 2015 following a road traffic accident involving an UNMIL vehicle.

According to a press release issued in Monrovia, the incident occurred Monday morning when an UNMIL Toyota Land Cruiser, which was packed on McDonald Street by an UNMIL staff member, rolled back across Camp Johnson Road and hit Mr. Jallo, who was immediately rushed to the JFK Hospital in Sinkor, where he was pronounced dead.

The release says the UNMIL staff member concerned immediately reported the incident to officers of the Liberia National Police, who initiated an investigation. Detailed report is expected on completion of the investigation.
