Voinjama Woman Becomes Nat’l Orator
A local business woman of the city of Voinjama in Lofa County will serve as the national orator during this years’ celebration. She was named by President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf.
According to Presidential Press Secretary Cyrus Badio, the selection of Garmai Estella Korboi to deliver the national oration is the first by the government in recent memory.
Badio said the decision was intended to raise the profile of Liberians from all sectors of society and life. Badio described current preparations for Liberia’s 164th Independence Day Celebrations in Voinjama, Lofa County as well on course.
