Citizens of District# 7 in Nimba County have benefited a modern ferry that is being used to cross the Yar-River between Gbehyi and Saclepea Mah administrative district.

Speaking to The NewDawn, Wee-gbehyi Administrative District Commissioner Jefferson Gokor said, the ferry has brought great relief to the district. He put the cost of the ferry at more than US$2,000.

Commissioner Gokor disclosed that over 20 citizens had lost their lives by drowning, while crossing the Yar-River, so the coming of the ferry is a great relief for the population. He said this was made possible thru the effort of Vice President Joseph Boakai, who contributedUS$3,000 for the ferry project.

Our correspondent, who visited the Yar-River, said the ferry transports about 22 passengers per trip.
