VP elect calls for citizens’ interest in Bong
Vice President elect Jewel Howard Taylor has call on authorities of Bong County to put aside their personal interest and work together to improve the County.
Speaking to a cross section of citizens during her first visit to the county since the pronouncement of her victory by the National Elections Commission, the VP elect Taylor said, seeking the interest of individuals has been the reason why several projects in the county have stalled. She named the Bong County Technical College as one of said projects.
More than seven million is said to have been allocated for the construction of the Bong County Technical College in the County, but the college is yet to be completed.
She said Bong County will not move forward if leaders of the county continue to seek for only what they will carry home. According to her, the curiosity of Bong County matters the most, adding that she will even work with the Bong Legislative Caucus in ensuring good leadership and speedy development.
The Liberia Vice President elect also extended commendations to her supporters for their commitment and at the same time call on those who did not support her to unite for the growth and development of the County.
“Let us forget about politics and come together to build our county. I may have hurt someone in the process, but I want to say sorry to you all and let’s come again to unite ourselves”. Dr. Taylor said.
