Weah encourages young contractors

President George Manneh Weah says he is proud to see young people taking over as engineers, while visiting a number of ongoing community road projects that have young Liberian engineer contractors’ participations here in Monrovia and its surroundings on Monday, 5 November.

In an interaction with a young Liberian engineer working with the UNDP on the Coastal Defense project in New Kru Town, President Weah urges the contractors to continue to do their work, noting that it’s a good thing to see young people taking over and working as engineers.

“We are proud and I hope that y’all will continue to give strength and give our people hope,” he says.
President Weah notes that his job is to inspect and encourage contractors to continue what they are doing.

He repeats his plans to see the area transformed into an economic zone and have restaurants there.
President Weah inspected the Clara Town – Doe Community Road project, Logan Town Road project, the Coastal Defense project at New Kru Town, the Vokar Mission Road in Paynesville and the Chuckie Taylor Road project in Congo Town, respectively.

As usual, President Weah received a rousing welcome in the various communities he visited Monday from residents, predominantly young people that were welcoming and thanking him for the ongoing projects.

UNDP worker Mr. John Nyemah Natt, Jr, a young Liberian engineer, told President Weah during their interaction at the coastal defense project site in New Kru Town that they are doing their best to ensure that President Weah’s dream comes to pass.He promises that they are making sure that the president will “get good news from us” at the end of November concerning the project.
