Weah Harris to Join Swedish Harnosands FF

Former Jubilee FC’s central defender Weah Ephraim Harris is heading to Swedish 2nd Division side Harnosands FF. The defender will arrive in Sweden shortly to honor his month-long trial with the Swedish side that already has three Liberians, including former Monrovia FC winger Archie Harvey, defender Hassan Kanneh, forward Bameke Toure.

Weah was recommended to the club by Tore Eliasson, a Liberian manager based in Sweden. The defender started his career with Coastal Warrior FC in Ghana in 2005 before moving to Royal Majestic FC in 2007. In 2008, he returned home and started up with Jubilee FC until 2011 before going to Monrovia FC for a game under Swedish coach Johan Sandahl.

In March last year, the defender was sent to Nigeria by former Monrovia FC CEO Wilhelm Myrer to obtain a Swedish Visa to join Swedish lower league side IK Viking, but was denied. Tore Elisasson the pusher and manager of Liberians in Sweden took interest in Weah’s talent and recommended him to Harnonsads FF. The Liberian also had a time with Nigerian side Recastle United FC in Lagos and All-Star FC from central Ghana as well.
