Weah on road tour

President. George Manneh Weah, has reiterated his government’s commitment to developing the Country with emphasis on the construction of paved roads and other critical infrastructures in the country.

Mr. Weah said his paved roads agenda is intended not only to connect the capital, Monrovia, but also the rest of the country so that road connectivity underpins the country’s enormous socioeconomic development.
The president gave the assurance Tuesday, March 12, 2019 when he toured additional road projects in Monrovia and its environs.

In Paynesville Red-light, the President called on the Coca Cola Road construction team to work with passion and commitment, urging them to take pride in serving their country.

“I have come to inspect the road project here and to see the work that you are doing,” the President told the contractors, swarmed by a crowd of workers and bystanders. “We, as a government, do have interest in having this road and other roads under construction completed according to schedule.”

In apparent appreciation of the works being done on the road, thousands of residents and commuters cheered the president as he toured the Paynesville Red-Light and Coca Cola road.

President Weah rode further under rains to tour other road projects including Pipeline-Johnsonville Road and Barnersville-Tusa Field Road.
The Liberian Leader was accompanied by Mobutu Vlah Nyenpan, Public Works Minister and Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, Nathaniel McGill.

Last Friday, March 08, 2019, the President resumed inspecting road projects under construction in and around Monrovia after a brief pause. President Weah and entourage toured the Logan Town Broad Street, Sawmill/Bali Island Road as well as the 14 Military Hospital Projects.

In Logan Town, the President trekked the long stretch of paved road joyously greeted by jubilant banners-carrying and flags-waving residents apparently showing appreciation to him for paving the road which was in a very deplorable state for decades.-Press release
