Wen’s Town gets first hand pump in 20 years

Joy and happiness characterized the day in Wen’s Town, Margib County when a dream came true for residents of the town when they received a modern hand pump dedicated by the Checago Bright Foundation or CBF, Inc.

Over the weekend, CBF Inc. through its CEO, Mr. Checago Bright-Sawo and partner, S4 Infinity, dedicated a modern hand-pump to the people of Wen’s town in lower Margibi.The residents, who turned out in mass, said the it was their first time in 20 years to receive safe drinking water and wouldn’t hold back their joy.

Performing the dedication, Mr. JallahKesselly, President of NOBEL Liberia Limited said, ‘Water is life’ and expressed gratitude to Mr. Bright-Sawo for his unflinching support to people in rural Liberia. Mr. Kesselly expressed his company’s willingness to continue partnership with the foundation in making remarkable gains amongst striving citizens.

He however called on citizens and residents of Wen’s town to maintain the facility for the good of their community, stressing that if the facility is well maintained, other partners will be more impressed and want to do more for the people of Wen’s Town.

For his part, CEO Mr. Sawo told the residents government does not have answers to all problems, urging residents of the community to continue to join hands with the government in advancing the development drive of the nation.

Mr. Bright-Sawo called on residents of the area to maintain the project for the benefit of the town. He said since the establishment of the Foundation, it has continued to impact lives through water, sanitation and education.

He disclosed that CBF has done projects in five of Liberia’s fifteen counties, including Margibi, Bassa, Montserrado, Gbapolu and Bong, respectively.
