Madam Esther Wallace of Chicken Soup Factory in Gardnerville stood in complete disbelief over the weekend when staff of the GSM giant called on her mobile phone and broken the news that she has won a new AVEO Chevrolet vehicle valued at US$17,000.

Esther’s argument was she has not participated in any raffle draw to give her such expensive car.

“I cannot remember playing any raffle draw, how will I win such flashy car? No, no, no, I can’t believe that; it is a big lie my son”, she told the New Dawn via mobile.

Subscribers of Lonestar Cell MTN automatically get qualified and enter the three months draw if they (subscribers) recharge and use US$5 scratch card weekly. The draw usually takes place at the end of the month.

Many subscribers entered the draw through without knowing after they have spent up US$5 like Esther Wallace that they will ever win. About 10 subscribers were among the lucky winners on Saturday, 26 October winning phones each.

Speaking at the program, LoneStar Cell MTN Marketing Officer, Ibrahim Daramie, said subscribers, who recharged US$5 during the week, are eligible to form part of the draw for the car. He disclosed that two more cars, including many items are yet to go, and that the two cars will be out for November and December, 2013.

Daramie: “LoneStar Cell MTN cares for all of its subscribers. And so, we are doing this to give back to our many lovely subscribers.”

He noted that’s the company’s own way of identifying with its subscribers by giving away 200% bonus on every recharge, at the same time giving out smart phones and most importantly giving away three new brand Chevrolet vehicles to lucky winners.

According to him, Lonestar Cell MTN is the focal point in Liberia with the brand that lifts the dreams of Liberians, adding, “LoneStar Cell is the leader in the telecommunication industry; we lead, others follow.”
