Drug Dealer Arrested

Anti-Narcotic Agents have arrested and forwarded to the Monrovia City Court a drug suspect, Nick Okeke for an illegal possession of 4.5 grams of heroin valued at L$5,400.00, according to the police charge sheet.

Defendant Okeke, believed to be a Nigerian, was arrested on March 12, 2011 by a team of Aanti Narcotic agents based on Intelligence that he was in possession of such narcotic drugs.

Police /CSD Preliminary investigation gathered that the defendant (Okeke) has allegedly admitted to the ownership of the arrested drugs. Police probe gathered and revealed that defendant Okeke admitted receiving his supplies from a friend only identified as Augustine on a usual basis. But the accused Augustine is believed to reside in the Duport Road area, outside Monrovia.

Investigation also revealed that the defendant has been in the drugs trade for the past one and a half years.

The investigation further revealed that Gurley, Benson, Randall and Center Streets as his (Okeke’s) marketing places. Defendant Nick Okkeke was subsequently charged with unlawful possession and sale of narcotic drugs by the Anti-Narcotic Unit/CSD upon investigation and forwarded to court for trial.
