Good governance will reconcile Liberians

--DPPL says

By Lincoln G. Peters

Democratic People’s Party of Liberia (DPPL) chairman Atty. Dickson R. Tamba has termed good governance as the hallmark of national reconciliation.

In an interview with journalists in Monrovia, Atty. Tamba argued that what will reconcile Liberia is good governance.

“Once we have good governance, reconciliation will be something that will just happen automatically,” Atty. Tamba stated.

He added that reconciling Liberians is very key to Amb. Joseph Nyumah Boakai’s administration.

Atty. Tamba has expressed confidence in the incoming administration of President-elect Joseph Nyumah Boakai to adequately serve and deliver for the Liberian people.

The Liberian legal luminary urged that Liberians should come together to help in the forward march of the country.

“Reconciliation is a process and sometimes people mix politics with tradition. As a politician and national chairman of a political party, we think this is not helpful for democracy,” said Atty. Tamba.

“Politics, election came, we campaigned, we did all we could. The decision of the people was valued, now it’s time for us to work together for the betterment of our country.”

The DPPL chairman has also described the incoming administration of President-elect Boakai as a respectable and responsible government that will deliver the wishes and aspirations of the Liberian people.

He noted that Liberians will be properly served under the administration of Amb. Bioakia, saying the new dawn for Liberia has come.

“The ascendency of Amb. Boakai as President-elect of Liberia is a new dawn for the country. The administration of Amb. Boakai is a very respectable and responsible government that will deliver the wishes and aspirations of the Liberian people,” he noted.

According to him, the moment that Liberians had prayed and worked for has finally come because President-elect Boakai’s administration will respond to the wishes and aspirations of the Liberian people.
