Lonestar Cell MTN Gives Out Two Cars

The headquarters of Liberia’s GSM giant Lonestar Cell MTN in Congo Town was a jubilant scene on Wednesday when the company officially turned over two cars to the third place winner of Project Fame 2013, Ms. Margaret Cephas, and the winner of Lonestar Cell MTN 3x mega promotion, Madam Esther Wallace.

Margaret Cephas’ vehicle was given to her by the organizers of Project Fame, MTN Africa, which is Lonestar Cell MTN’s mother company that is widely known in Africa.

Margaret, who could not hold on to her excitement, praised Lonestar Cell MTN for the unlimited sponsorship for her. She however encouraged her colleagues around Liberia with the gifts of singing to come forth and show their talents to make Liberia proud.

Project Fame Country Representative here, Mr. Chris Wolo, as well encouraged young Liberians with singing talents to send in their entrance to UNMIL Star is Born talent competition that is pending shortly.

He also urged young people to continue to try to contest in singing competitions that will expose their talents. “Continue to push forward in your talents, don’t sit on your gifts, keep on coming to Project Fame auditions every year; you might be like Margaret; don’t say I am not going there because they already have who they want. Our audition is open to every Liberian, and it is fair,” he noted.

For her part, the winner of the AVEO Chevrolet vehicle in the 3x mega promotion raffle draw, Esther Wallace, stood before the crowd speechless. Esther, who had earlier doubted that she won the car, finally saw the truth when her car keys were presented by a staff of Lonestar Cell MTN during a formal ceremony at the company’s headquarters in Congo Town.

The 3x mega promotion requires Lonestar Cell MTN subscribers to use US$5 scratch card every week and automatically enter the draw. The promotion is to last for three months and each month when the draw is held, a lucky subscriber whose number is picked by the computer, gets one of the cars that costs US$17, 000.

In this three month promotion, Esther Wallace is the winner of one of the three cars. There are still two more cars to be given out for the month of November and December, but subscribers are required to recharge any amount weekly up to US$5 to automatically qualify for the draw.

The Acting Brand Manager of Lonestar Cell MTN, Thomas Findley, encouraged subscribers to continue to recharge their mobile phones every week and use up to US$5 weekly to qualify for the draw. He assured that Lonestar Cell will continue to improve the lives of Liberians through its many programs.
