Lonestar MTN Ends Mother Day Raffle Draw
Liberia’s GSM giant, Lone Star cell/MTN Sunday 2 June ended its mother’s day raffle draw program at the Royal Grand Hotel in Sinkor, Monrovia. The company staged the mother’s day raffle throughout May, requesting MTN subscribers to text mom to 3232 to qualify for the draw.
The program ended with one of the winners, Mr. V. Arthur Geh along with his special mother Mrs. Kuo Baawo having a dinner at the Royal Grand hotel. Mr. Geh thanked Lonestar Cell MTN family for giving him the opportunity to show how much he loves his mother.
He said though his biological mother has passed, he has taken his niece Mrs. Kuo, who he loves so much to replace his late mother. The lucky subscriber is a resident of Congo Town and employee of IITA Liberia NGO.
He told journalists at the Royal Hotel that when he first received the massage on his mobile phone, he took it for joke, but decided to give it a try in which he texted five times. Mr. Geh continued that after texting, he received a call on Saturday from Lone Star cell MTN, telling him that he has won a dinner at the Royal Grad Hotel with his special mother.
He also added that he has been subscribing with Lone Star Cell since the company came to Liberia, and any time he receives text from the company, he will now take it serous.
“But now I know that people that have been winning at Lone Star Cell raffle draw are not employees as we thought; they are people that follow instructions like me today,” Mr. Geh narrated.
He concluded that as from this date on he will not take anything Lone Star cell massages lightly, and assured the company that this will not be his last time winning because he will take part in all upcoming raffle draws that will be hosted by the company. An Official of the Lone Star Cell MTN Edna Thomas said the company is always up to its promise to the public.

She narrated that since the raffle draw started; there have been six (6) winners, with all of them going for dinner with their special mothers at the Royal Grand Hotel. According to her, the winners did not just have dinner but they were presented a gift each for their special mothers by Lonestar Cell MTN.
