The Lonestar Cell MTN “text ‘n’ win promotion” is expected to end in two weeks.  Ahead of this, an unknown person has emerged as winner of the February 18, 2012 weekly draw, walking away with L$10,500.

The cell number of the subscriber, who last Friday won the L$10,500.00 prize, is 0886203499. The subscriber could not be identified as his or her number was at a switch-off when it was dialed five times by Lonestar Cell.

Lonestar MTN has not officially announced to the public the name of this winner, but this paper has discovered the winner to be George Nyain, who currently resides on Kokoyah Road in  Gbarnga, Bong County. George, 34, told the New Dawn via mobile that he played only one time. He explained that he once lived in Monrovia as a former employee of the Liberia Woodwork Construction and Trading Cooperation.

According to him, he is currently in search of a job and was in the bush at one of Accelor Mittal mining sites when he was being contacted by Lonestar. “I was way in the bush to where Mittal Steel is mining, and there is no network in the forest that’s why my phone was off,” he said.

He further noted that Lonestar Cell MTN later called him to take delivery of the amount won. Lonestar Cell MTN continues the empowerment of its subscribers with the presentation of material, cash and airtime prizes to winners.

Friday is now considered a happy day for lucky subscribers since the leading telecommunication company launched its ongoing ‘Txt N Win’ raffle draw early December 2011. Winners of the draw are awarded on Friday, every week during the weekly draw. Stockton Yelekeh of Ganta was recently presented a new Hyundai car worth US$16,500.00 he won during Lonestar Cell MTN Fantastic Friday‘s raffle Draw held on the Barnes Beach.

The ‘Txt N Win’ draw, which is part of Lonestar Cell’s 4-in-1 Season Promotion, is being carried out in various categories, including daily, weekly and monthly draws.

All subscribers, who have registered their SIM cards, are in the draw and could increase their chances by sending the word “Win” to 3310. The three-month raffle draw is expected to end early next month (March), with a grand cash prize of one million Liberian dollars (L$1,000,000.00).

At Friday’s draw, the lady, who won the weekly draw held at the Barnes Beach on Sunday, February 12, 2012, S. Dimanche Kortu and last week’s daily winners received their cash prizes. The amount of L$60,000.00 was also awarded to twenty (20) airtime winners. Dimanche won L$10,500.00 after sending one text message.

The daily winners included Christopher Goodridge of Old Road, L$10,500.00 (1 SMS); Kpehe Nyei of Doe Community, L$15,750.00 (2 SMS); Charles Penie of Jamaica Road, L$15,750.00 (2 SMS); and a subscriber George Nyain who has just been identified.
