Lonestar Subscriber Wins 1,000,000

One of Liberia’s leading GSM companies Lonestar Cell MTN will today March 5, 2012 give away to a lucky subscriber L$1million to climax its Text N Win promotion, which started last December.

The company over a period of three months, afforded subscribers the opportunity to walk away with huge sums of Liberian dollars in its text N win promotion launched during the Christmas and New Year Holidays. According to Lonestar Cell MTN, the “Text N Win” has given away over L$9m in cash and airtime during the three-month promotional period.

“Txt N Win” is a SMS based game that gives customers, who choose to play, and opportunity to win daily, weekly and monthly cash prizes and air time. The first monthly winner emerged in last December when his telephone number appeared on Lonestar Cell MTN projector, declaring him a winner of LD$500,000.

Today’s draw will witness another subscriber, who is expected to collect one million Liberian dollars, depending on the amount of text messages sent to short code 3310.

The company told this paper that many good programs were coming up for Liberians, including training for Journalists, who cover Lonestar programs. The GSM Company has also launched “Fantastic Friday.” Subscribers, who will recharge on those Fridays or every Friday, will get a special gift from Lonestar Cell MTN.

Speaking to this paper, the company’s Communication Consultant Dr. Laurence Bropleh, said his company has always been making weekends joyous for its many subscribers.

“If you noticed for the past many months, Lonestar cell MTN during weekends has reduced tariff on all Lonestar numbers; we are during this because we believe in the people, and we believe it is only Lonestar Cell MTN that can make the people happy,” said Dr. Bropleh. He same the company will continue to identify with the people, because according to him, it is the people’s company.
