Two-Day reconciliation conference ends in Zorzor

A two-day Reconciliation and Peace building Conference on the reunification of the citizens of Zorzor District has ended with advances made in ensuring peaceful co-existence, unity and social cohesion in rural settlements in the district. The event started Friday, January 31 and was convened at the Zorzor District Women Association Building in Zorzor City.

The overriding objective of the conference was to reconcile and re-unify the people of Zorzor District after the civil conflict that left wounds among the Liberian people.

Attending the conference were several government officials, including House Speaker J. Alex Tyler, Senators from the county, local authorities, prominent Liberians as well as citizens from the three clans in the district – Gizzima, Zeyeama and Buluyeama.
