𝘍C Kallon-Liberia 𝘗resident/CEO Cassell Anthony Kouh, Sr, has returned to Liberian football, paying his players and technical staff two months’ salary arrears owed by the previous management of the club.

Speaking on Monday, March 4, 2024, in Monrovia Mr. Kouh said he is happy to return home watching his club, FC Kallon-Liberia pinned LISCR FC 1-0 to keep their hope alive in the top tier of Liberian football.

He noted Striker Mark Yallah rose to the occasion in the 38th minute after Emmanuel Bunipele was fouled in the danger area thus netting the vital goal from the penalty spot.

He said the crucial victory has moved FC Kallon-Liberia four points within the safety zone with six games left to end the 2023/2024 league season.

According to him, players’ motivation is part of his key strategy that has seen the club escaped relegation with each player receiving a pair of boots and US$20 for each victory attained.

Kuoh has promised to purchase a brand new bus to ease transportation constraints in taking the team to match venues and training sessions.

Also speaking Coach Emmanuel Kaykay said, camping his players before the match with LISCR was a boost for the technical staff.

“You can see the changes for yourself since Cassell arrived at the Club. We now have more players showing up regularly for training and camping before our league games which is helping the team”, the Coach said.

He said CED Kuoh has made his task easier, as players are not motivated and are putting in their all, as was demonstrated against LISCR.

“We have six games left and our next match will be against Paynesville FC at the SKD Practice Pitch on Sunday,” Coach Kaykay added.

Meanwhile, he disclosed that they will be renamed FC Fassell next season after they suffered a 4-0 defeat to Bea Mountain in Kouh’s first match after taking over, but the vital win against defending Champions LISCR has rejuvenated players’ confidence to keep their place in the top flight.

The coach said Kouh has vowed to ensure that FC Kallon-Liberia, formerly Muscat FC maintain their place in the LFA First Division next season, adding that the next fixture is against another title contender, Paynesville FC at the SKD Practice Pitch on March 10, 2024. Editing by Jonathan Browne
