2-month-old Baby chases mother

A two-month old baby has mysteriously disappeared from his parents in Foquellef Town, Panta District in Bong County.

The mother of two month old, Lorpu Kollie, told our Bong County correspondent that she has had several dreams linking the child to witchcraft activities.

She said her parents later decided to use garlic and incense to make sure the child, Smith Freeman, was not a witch.

She said in one of her dreams, her two month old- son took her to a building where his friends were cooking meat and asked to sit and eat, but refused to do so.

According to her, while they were on their way to the farm, she heard her two month old son on her back complaining that he did not like incense and galley, and was leaving to go elsewhere.

Sixteen year- old Lorpu Kollie added that she became unconscious when the child began talking and demanding that he be brought down from her back.

Lorpu further narrated that after bringing her son down from her back; he immediately grew to a full grown man and started chasing her. According to her, she did not see him as she approached the town.

She said went unconscious upon reaching the town. Madam Kollie claimed that in the previous two dreams she had, her ‘child’ took her to a house without windows and told her to enter by leaning on it.

The Father of the ‘child’:  Watson Freeman has described the situation as terrible, saying since giving birth to the child, he has always been crying during night hours and causing embarrassment for the family.

Mr. Watson explained that the child has not shown any physical mysterious act since he was born, adding that during his wife’s pregnancy, she fell continuously ill and had to be regularly visiting the clinic in the area.

The grandfather, Jerome Korwoan said the situation had resulted to a stigma on the family in the community.

He expressed fear over the situation and added that the ‘child’ might come back to cause embarrassment for the family.
