9 shortlisted For Lone Star Head Coach

The New Dawn Liberia The New Dawn LiberiaOut of sixty-one National and International applicants for the positions of head coach and deputy head coach of the senior National team of Liberia, nine have been short-listed. The nine applicants are grouped into two categories- five for the position of head coach and four for deputy head coach.

Speaking to Journalists last Friday, the Media Relation Officer of the Liberia Football Association or LFA, Henry Flomo said those short-listed for the position of head coach are all foreign nationals, including Sampson Siasia of Nigeria,  Luciano Reis of Brazil, Italian Roberto Landi,  Bertalan Bicskei and Angul Alonso.

Others for the position of a deputy coach are Bonifess Doe, Darlington Boye, Vava George and Frank Jerico Nagbe of Liberia. According to Flomo, the applicants would be interviewed via email (the interviews will be sent by email and the applicants are expected to respond via the same means).

However, he did not say when will be the interview and how long will it last, but pointed out that the committee responsible is doing every thing with in its domain to figure out the best for the Lone Star.

Meanwhile, on the basis of the splendid performance of Liberian Soccer Icon George Weah at AC Milan, the Italian giant has offered to train the youth teams (National under 17, 20 &23) of Liberia so as to raise more George Weahs.
