Bob Zeo Gears Up

Former IE striker Bob Zeo is expected to honor his first league action for Gabonese premiership Champion Sportive De BeTam FC as they travel to FC 105 early next week. The forward joined the club on a free deal after spending few seasons in South Africa attached and unattached. Bob Zeo rose to fame in Liberia during the late 90’s and early 2000’.

The attacker also appeared on the national team during the administration of George Weah; Bob Zeo who became one of the top strikers in the country while plying his trade with Invisible Eleven football club, left Liberia on board the Nigerian flight that took hundreds of Liberians to Nigeria during the heat of the civil crisis in 2003.

The player rose to the top of Ghanaian football in the 2005 Cocoa Cola Top-4 tournament, a tournament organized each year for the first four clubs that finishes on the league table. Bob Zeo became the first Liberian player to win Most Valuable Player (MVP) in any tournament involving premier clubs in that country.

The attacker signed 3-years deal with Hearts of Lion FC after they won the Coca Cola Top 4 trophy. He played one season and abandoned the club after failing a tryout with South African giant Sundown in 2006.

Bob moved on to Mozambique where he played with Desportivo Maputo for one season. After a season there, he left Mozambique and spent a season in South Africa seeking signing. He managed to secure a move to Gabon, signing with Sportive De BeTam, the champion team for last season; he will also be part of the club’s delegation for a CAF Champion league this season.
