Alfalit International head to visit Liberia

The President of Alfalit International Dr. Joseph Milton is expected to visit Liberia ahead of the organization’s thanksgiving celebration for 10 years of dedicated service to youth and adult literacy education in Liberia since 2006.

Dr. Joseph Milton will arrive in Liberia on Sunday, October 9, 2016 via the Roberts International Airport. His visit is aimed at offering more support to the Liberia –Ghana Missions and Alfalit Liberia, to review and assess the current programs and status of the two organization impacts in its support to education and adult literacy in Liberia and as well strengthen commitment and renew friendship and remain engaged in buttressing the government of Liberia educational drive.

While in the country, Dr. Milton will hold meetings with Vice President Joseph Boikai, the United States Embassy in Monrovia, USAID Mission Director including visits at least 5 of Alfalit Liberia literacy centers and L-GM’s partners’ institutions and adopted schools in and out of Monrovia.

On Monday October 10, 2016 Dr. Milton will meet with Vice President Joseph N. Boikai at his capitol Building Office in Monrovia. He will also pay a special visit at the National Governors Council of Liberia Head Office at the Old Housing Bank down Waterside in Central Monrovia and last meet with the Women in Peace Building Network at Fish Market, Tubman Boulevard in Monrovia.

On October 12 -, 2016 Dr. Milton will also visit the Women of Grace for Sustainability and Holistic Development, an L-GM partner institution in the GSA Rock Hill Community to meet with L-GM’s beneficiaries, will meet with Educational Promoters in the Chocolate City Community and later of the travel to Bong County and Harbel Firestone where he will meet with the Taylor Ta United Methodist School and beneficiaries of the Alfalit literacy program among others.

Meanwhile on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, Alfalit Liberia will hold its thanksgiving service at the organization’s head office to thank Dr. Joseph Milton and his international partners for their tireless support to Alfalit Liberia and the Liberia- Ghana Missions and celebrate 10 years of dedicated service to education in Liberia.

At the same time the Director of Alfalit Liberia, Rev. Emmanuel J. Giddings said preparations for the arrival Dr. Milton and the observance of Alfalit Liberia’s 10 years of committed service to education is ongoing and that the October 18 event is expected to bring together over 300 people from the private sector, the government and all its partners institutions and adopted schools.

As part of the celebration, individuals who have meaningfully contribution to the growth and development of Alfalit Liberia will be honored at the October 18 thanksgiving program.
