Boakai promises equal opportunity for all

Opposition Unity Party (UP) presidential candidate Amb. Joseph Nyumah Boakai has promised Liberians equal opportunity and transformation under his administration if elected this October. 

According to Amb. Boakai, his leadership will ensure that every citizen is given the opportunity and capacity to transform their lives and make meaningful contributions to society. 

Addressing hundreds of thousands of his supporters over the weekend in Monrovia, Amb. Boakai disclosed that his government will take full charge of ensuring a better life for all citizens.

“I want to assure you that under our leadership, we will ensure that everyone has the opportunity to work and transform their lives and contribute to nation-building.”

“We will give you a new Liberia where justice, good health care, quality education, security and adequate job opportunity and other social amenities will be provided,” Amb. Boakai promised.

Unlike the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) government, the opposition politician pointed out that his leadership will not have state actors who will see government work as a means to enrich themselves and their unborn generation at the expense of ordinary people.

The opposition UP candidate vowed to restore every stolen resource from officials of the CDC government.

“Nobody in Rescue must think that we are coming to be worshiped. We are coming to serve the country and make a real country with great opportunities,” said Amb. Boakai. 

“We will have a country where people will believe that leadership is made to serve your people. We want to make [sure] that every citizen [is] given the opportunity to work and transform their way of living,” he continued. 

Boakai noted that his government will audit the past regime, including the extraordinary taxes imposed on businesses that are increasing the suffering on the people.
