Boakai’s supporters in Margibi switch to Weah

By Ramsey N. Singbeh, Jr.
Some supporters of opposition presidential candidate Amb. Joseph Nyumah Boakai in Margibi County has switched loyalty to incumbent President Weah for his re-election bid.

An auxiliary in Kakata, Margibi County called “JNB TACT Team” said over the weekend they had finally realized that President Weah is the best alternative for the country.

The group’s leader Joseph Dolo explained that they had been in the struggle for the Liberian people for long, but it was now time for them to make a better decision in the interest of the country.

He said whatever decision they made to stand with Weah is genuine and they stand by it.

He noted that they have and continue to see the developmental activities that George Weah continues to carry on across the country.

In a related development, the Margibi County Chapter of the All Liberian Coalition Party (ALCOP) has also endorsed the second-term bid of President Weah.

The endorsement was done in the Mandina Community over the weekend with hundreds of Margibians and Liberians in attendance.

This was done just after ALCOP’s National Leadership endorsed Josep Boakai’s presidential bid in the run-off.
