Bong Police Urge Citizens

Police in Bong County have launched a major call for citizens toidentify properties arrested by the police from criminals in GbarngaCity. In recent time, the police in the county launched a major raid,clearing various ghettoes and entertainment centers involved with thesale of illegal narcotic substances.

During the raid, police confiscated several stolen properties anddisplayed same at its headquarters in Gbarnga, urging communitymembers to prove ownership of such stolen items and take them away.

Bong County Police Commander Col. FedrickNaipaye told our Bong Countycorrespondent that those claiming ownership of stolen items will haveto do such beyond all reasonable doubts, including presentation of serial numbers, as well as providing receipts, among others.

According to Col. Naipay, the LNP will continue to ensure thatcriminals and their collaborators are chased until such criminalattitudes are abandoned. He added that they have now closed down all ghettoes and criminalhideouts in Gbarnga, saying many of the criminals were on the run.

The Bong County Police Chief emphasized the urgent need for citizenscooperation as police in the county continue to ensure their safety. Col. Naipaye expressed the belief that with the involvement ofcitizens, criminals will have nowhere to hide and execute theiractivities.
