The President of the People’s Republic of China, Mr. Xi Jinping on Tuesday, November 22, 2023, pledged his government commitment and willingness to work with Liberia President-elect, Joseph Nyumah Boakai.
President Xi also extended his congratulatory message to Amb. Boakai, President-elect of Liberia on his election as president of Liberia.
According to the Chinese president in his congratulatorily message to Liberia’s President-elect, Boakai, Mr. Xi said that he stands ready to work with Joseph Nyumah Boakai, Liberia’s president-elect, to deepen bilateral friendship and mutual trust, and strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation.
” I stood ready to work with Joseph Nyumah Boakai, Liberia’s president-elect, to deepen bilateral friendship and mutual trust, and strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation” President Xi stated in his congratulatory message to Amb. Boakai.
Meanwhile, Amb. Boakai in a special statement dated, Thursday, November 23, 2023, acknowledged the Chinese President’s congratulatory message.
In his congratulatory message, President Xi Jinping expressed his readiness to work with the President-elect, Boakai to deepen bilateral ties, foster mutual trust as well as strengthen beneficial cooperation between Liberia and China” he stated.
Accordingly, Amb. Boakai acknowledged with profound satisfaction, the special congratulatory message and thanked the PRC for its long years of unyielding support to Liberia and its people. The President-elect also expressed his willingness to deepen cordial relationship with the people Republic of China and its industrious people for the mutual benefits both countries have and continue to enjoy.
While thanking the PRC for its support of Liberia’s development, Amb. Boakai also reaffirmed his government’s commitment to the one China Policy. The President-elect envisages a new page in the Liberia-China relationship that will thrive to nobler heights.
