The Ministry of Finance, last Saturday, December 18, 2010, prevailed in a mini-Olympics, organized by the Dollars Sports Association of the Ministry of Finance.

Finance whipped the Ministry of Commerce 2-1 in the full 90- minutes of actions at the Stephen Tolbert sport pitch in Gardnersville, outside Monrovia. Following their 2-1 victory over Commerce, the money boys were in full spirit to challenge Lone Star Cell.

Minister Augustine Kpehe Ngafuan, leading the attack for the Finance Ministry, netted home a brilliant ball from a set piece in the 15th minute of the 1st half. Lone Star Cell came on level term a few minutes later.

Striker Ngafuan provided a pass for Assistant Minister for Administration, Prince Caine Andrews to beat three players of Lone Star Cell to place the ball in the right corner. The 2nd half witnessed no goal, as the Ministry of Finance continued to lead 2-1 from 1st half.

The Dollars Sports Association honored and gave cash awards to Ministry of Finance for winning this year’s Inter-ministerial and public corporation league.

Minister Ngafuan was honored as the Most Valuable Player (MVP). He referred his award to the playing body, because they all contributed to his game.
