By Kruah Thompson

A fire disaster has destroyed the home of Gunnigar Town Community Zone Leader in Grand Bassa County, Mr. Isaac Gunnigar.

The incident occurred late Wednesday afternoon, 7 February 2024.

Eyewitnesses reported a thick black smoke billowing from the back of the house, while flames rapidly consumed the entire structure.

The exact cause of the fire remains unknown, with no casualties or injuries reported. The devastating blaze instantly rendered several families homeless.

In an interview conducted after the incident, the landlord of the house and community leader, Mr. Isaac Gunnigar, expressed shock and dismay.

He disclosed to reporters that the seven-bedroom house was rented out to seven tenants, each occupying a room.

Following the tragic incident, he expressed deep sorrow over the loss endured by the tenants, especially students who, according to him, lost crucial school documents and other belongings in the inferno.
