GVL Sponsors Career Day in Barclayville

Golden Veroleum Liberia is please to invite the general public to its first Career Day, to be held 15 May 2014, at 11:00 am at the Barclayville City Hall in Grand Kru County.

The objective of the program is to assist prospective senior secondary school graduates in making informed career and educational decisions prior to enrolling in university.

During the career day program, GVL managers will emphasize the availability of GVL agricultural scholarships, which are administered in coordination with the Liberian Ministry of Agriculture and five major universities.

As part of the event, GVL engineer cadets, who currently are on leave from their training assignment in Jakarta, Indonesia, will make separate presentations on their experiences while in the GVL program.

All senior secondary school students (12th Grade) in Grand Kru County, including Barclayville Central High School, Sass Town High School and P.G. Wollor High School in Grand Cess are poised to benefit from the program.

In addition to the presence of GVL senior managers, other attendees will include; Grad Kru County Superintendent, Elizabeth N. Dempster, Rajue Sarkar of UNMIL Civil Affairs, Grand Kru County Educational Officer, Josiah Johnson, Grand Kru County Agricultural Coordinator Benjamin Bedell and Resident Development Education Officer, Elizabeth Darley.
