LAPS donates to Ebola survivors in Ganta

The Liberia Association of Psychosocial Services or LAPS, has donated non-food items to 16 Ebola survivors in Ganta, Nimba County.

LAPS head, Joseph Hena, said the donation is a way of buttressing Government and non-governmental organizations involved in the Ebola fight in Liberia.

Mr. Hena said the organization is also helping Ebola survivors to reduce stigmatization and provide psychosocial counseling.

He said since the outbreak of the Ebola virus, the organization has been involved with awareness messages on local radio stations to help citizens abide by preventive measures.

He described items donated as adjustment kits for survivors.

For his part, Ganta City Mayor, Ben Tokpah, thanked LAPS and called on other local and international organizations to support survivors across the country.
