LBF Qualified Candidates

As the election draws to a final date, the Liberia Basketball Federation has released its qualified candidates contesting for various positions on the 15 of January at the Monrovia Sport Commission on Broad-street.

The federation on Monday made public the subsequent names: Jacob Kabakolie and T. Rufus Anderson as the two contestants for the presidential post. The vice president position is the target of Abraham Samkai, Malcolm W. Joseph and Valarie Pelham.

The federation qualified two candidates to race for the post of vice president for operation. They are Bruce Quaye and clearance Davies, Sr. Aklayiah Andrews and Michael George were qualified by the federation to pursuit the financial secretary’s site.

Vanii Baker will have to do all he can during the campaign, to defeat his opponent Lysander Hunter in the race for the Treasure’s position. Rev Jacob Bile and Julius Clay Lewis are the two candidates for the position of Chaplain. The federation said there will be no campaigning on the day of election.

Kia Athletics Association Aids Counties

The Kia Athletics Club is currently serving as a source of supply for most of the counties’ track and field teams. The club over the weekend released its athletes to join their respective counties for preparation of the county league.

Speaking to the New Dawn sport on Saturday during a training session at the SKD track, Mr. Amara U.K Sambola, head of the Kia Athletic Association, said athletes from his club remain a challenge on the track.

The club produced countless winners in the just ended high school track and field competition in Monrovia. Amara said the aim and objective of the clib is to produce future champions for Mama Liberia.
