LFA ends training for coaches

The Liberia Football Association has ended one day training seminar for 75 coaches with B and C licenses at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium or ATS, in Monrovia. The technical department of the LFA said topics include licensing guidelines for coaches and modern coaching trend.

The 75 coaches, who participated in the day’s training include local coaches from first and second division leagues and national team coaches, including U-23 coach Thomas Kojo, female national team coach  Kiven Sangba, among others. The seminar was conducted by LFA Technical Director, Henry Browne and Coach Francis Tamba.

Meanwhile, CAF has approved February 16-20, 2015 for B license holders; June 1-30 for A license course and October 12-16 for C license holders. Speaking via mobile phone, Coach Tamba said the FA is working in line with CAF and FIFA to train local coaches for the national league in Liberia.

He said some of the newly appointed national team coaches were not part of the program because they are still undergoing training before the B license seminar.

“I hope that what they got from here today,  they will use it to their best in this coming league season to making the league better and help players as they play the game”, Tamba concluded.
