Liberia In Group 1. For Nations Cup Qualifier

Liberia has been drawn in Group One, alongside Mali, Zimbabwe and Cape Verde in the preliminary rounds of the 2012 African Cup of Nations scheduled Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.

Liberia in 1996 and 2002 made appearances at the African Cup Nations, with no showing since four editions.

The Malians seem to be a very tough side in the group, having appeared in nearly every edition of the tournament with players in Europe and other top leagues around the world.

Cape Verde is the least in the group, owing to their absence from previous editions of the tournament and Its continuous failure to put up a real fight in all of the qualifying g series.

Zambabwe is noted for putting up poor showing in such tournament. Nevertheless, it is one of the strong contenders in the Confederation of Southern Africa challenge tournament held annually among countries in the East and Southern African region of the continent.
