Lutheran Bishop Identifies with Ebola Orphans in Bong

The Bishop of the Lutheran Church in Liberia has identified with Ebola survivors in the Phebe Community, Suakoko District. The survivors are orphans of some of the nurses who died as a result of the Ebola Virus Disease while serving humanity.

About seven persons received Forty United States Dollars each from Bishop Jensen Seyenkolo. According to Bishop Seyenkolo, the donation will help care-givers to cater to orphans of the fallen nurses.

He said the donation was meant to remember the victims for their professional services they rendered to the Liberian people.

Bishop Seyenkolo indicated that at present, the Lutheran Church in Liberia was offering Scholarships to the survivors. Speaking on behalf of the Phebe Hospital, its Administrator, Kerson Saykor, expressed deepest appreciation to the Lutheran Church in Liberia for the donation and encouraged the church to do more for the orphans.

Receiving the donations, the Ebola survivors lauded the church, through Bishop Jensen Seyenkolo, for identifying with them during such difficult period.
