Man, 19, commits suicide

A 19-year-oldman has reported committed suicide in Gbi Administrative District, in Tappita, lower Nimba County. The incident occurred on Tuesday, February 3, 2015.

An eyewitness said, the victim identified as Duamasiah Lah, and his sister were on their way to the farm when the deceased asked her to wait for him to go in the bush to ease himself or answer the call of nature, but only to heard gun fire later.

The NewDawn correspondent in Nimba said up to press time, no reason has been established yet for the deceased taking his own life.

But he noted that suicide among young people is becoming very common nowadays in Nimba, disclosing that in less than a month five persons have allegedly committed suicides.
