Man, 32, Arrested With LD231,840 Worth of Drugs

A 32-year-old man identified as Emmanuel S. Nyeanay has been arrested by the Liberia National Police. The suspect was arrested Tuesday, June 28, 2011 in Kakata, Margibi County. Suspects Nyeanay, a resident of 14 road in Kakata was arrested at his home with 48.3 kg of marijuana valued at L$231,840.00;

During police preliminary investigation, the suspect admitted to the ownership of the huge quantity of marijuana; he told investigators that he got the substance from Nimba County for L$9,000. The suspect is expected to be sent to court shortly for prosecution; the police raid on ghettoes and drug dealers continue across Liberia.
