Man, 35, found dead in Soul Clinic community

A 35-year-old Sierra Leonean national has been found dead in Kaymah Town, Soul Clinic community with bruises on his body. The deceased, identified as Alpha Jeff, was seen lying in a pool of blood Tuesday, 20 October

in front of his house in the community in is believed to be a mob attack. Speaking to The NewDawn, the chief of Kaymah Town, Joe Williams, said the deceased was a builder in the community, but did not say what led to his death. Chief William said the body of the late Jeff was found with several wounds on his head, seriously affecting his left eye.

The youth chairman of the community SieffaTarydeh said the deceased was a friend of the late Baby-Girl David but since her death, Jeff had been drinking. KaymahTowm residents told our reporter, the late Jeff may had followed a notorious criminal in the community identified as JB to steal from the Forestland Community Church when the latter allegedly escaped, leaving the late Alpha Jeff inside the church compound.

Eyewitnesses disclosed criminals always steal from the church, but this time around, God intervened. Our reporter said the Sierra Leonean’s body was found at the main street near the Forestland Community Church with sticks and other deadly weapons left on the scene of the incident.

Meanwhile, police in the Soul Clinic community have arrested one person said to be son of a pastor of the church for questioning. When contacted, Pastor Gan of the Forestland Community Church refused to speak with reporters, saying “My brother, the police are conducting their investigation into the matter;

I cannot speak to you.” The death of the 35 years old victim has created debate in the community with some residents saying the deceased was not a criminal, while others claimed the late Alpha Jeff went to steal when fate dealt him a deadly blow.
