Media for Consumer Protection conducts survey

A local protection group, Media for Consumer Protection has conducted a survey that has established tremendous progress in the banking sector across the country, which has brought relief to consumers.

In a press releaseissued by Executive Director Moses T. Togba, the group says the public is now using the banking sector for various transactions, which include but not limited to payment of civil servants’ salaries, electricity bills, money transfer, loan and saving accounts, among other services.

However, the survey notedthat in recent times there have been constant malicious attacks and blackmailing by some individuals against a number of financial institutions in the country.

The release says these institutions have proved to be credible over the years with impeccable characters, good academic credentials in specialized financial discipline and vast experience in the banking sector.
Media for Consumer Protection is therefore calling on whosoever involved in blackmails of financial institutions to desist as such action do not help the country.
