Nimbaians pledge support to Boakai
Citizens of Gbor administrative district in Nimba County have pledged support for Vice President Joseph Boakai`s presidential bid in 2017. The district four citizens in a recent statement thanked the Unity Party for the level of development and peace in the country.
According to our Nimba County correspondent, they informed the Vice President about lack of high school, clinic and chief compound, among others in the district. VP Boakai , who visited the county recently, said he will continue to work along with the citizens to ensure that basic social services reach them.
He donated 50,000 Liberian Dollars to the Gbor citizens and 25,000 Liberian Dollars to the community watch forum of Nimba. Ambassador who was elected standard bearer of the governing Unity Party at its national convention held over the weekend in Gbarnga, Bong County, lauded the community watch forum for its continuous support to the security sector of Liberia.
He called on Nimbaians to help maintain the peace here.
