NPHIL announces emergency hotline 4455

The National Public Health Institute of Liberia (NPHIL) informs the public that it has reinforced measures to control and prevent public health threats during this electoral period.

In a press release, NPHIL says a Special Public Health Emergency Operation via the National Public Health Emergency Call Center has been set up for such purpose.

It says the measures that target the public, electoral authorities, and stakeholders are intended to ensure efficient response to public health inquiries and emergencies.

The Special Emergency Operation during this election period is to ensure an efficient, timely, and coordinated response to emergency situations, inquiries, and concerns from the public, political stakeholders, and relevant authorities that may have public health implications or concerns.

The National Public Health Emergency Line (4455) as usual will operate 24 hours a day to respond to any public health issues that may arise during this critical period.

A team of skilled operators and supervisors backed by technical support personnel has been stationed 24/7 at the call center situated at NPHIL since 8th October to respond to election-related emergencies such as violence, accidents, medical emergencies, or security concerns from the public.

The National Public Health Institute of Liberia is encouraging the public to properly use the 4455 emergency Lines for an emergency health concern.- Press release
