Papa Gibson Wins LGA- C. Béer Tourney

Professional Golfer, Papa Gibson on July 26, 2010 won the Championship of the second edition of the Liberia Golf Association or LGA Club Beer Tournament held at the refurbished Sea-view Golf Court in Virginia, outside Monrovia. Gibson played 36 holes and put 253 balls thus emerging as Champion and pocketing the amount of LD$50,000.00 as grand prize of the competition.

Alphonso Watson received a cash prize of LD$40,000.00 as second place winner after putting 252 balls at all 36 holes played during the competition, while Jacob Smith pocketed LD$8,500.00 as third place winner.

Haven put 85 and 104 balls Tonny Payne and Erico were respectively crowned first and second place winner in the junior category. Dr. Nelson C. Oneyama received a giant size trophy as best putter during the three day Golf fiesta.

In the Amateur version of the Tournament, J.D. Park and Harry Jallah emerged as first and second place winner after putting 63 and 68 balls respectively.
