“Bad Apples In Police” – Justice Minister

The Justice Minister also admitted corruption and indiscipline in the police, and that the government was doing everything possible to end such practices that are giving negative image to the Liberia National Police.

Deputy Police Director for Operations Al Karley recently raised similar alarming, confirming the desecration of the National Police by some bad elements. Karley also frowned on the misuse of logistics, including police patrol vehicles in a short period of time.

A few months ago, Director Marc Armblad angrily took his own service men and women to task for being corrupt and abating crimes in some communities in Monrovia and its environs. His conclusion was based on the numerous complaints from community dwellers, followed by investigations.

Director Armblad and other top brass of the LNP have all been hailed for publicly acknowledging the flaws and mal-practices within the police, but urged to make practical their promises to raid the force of these bad elements.
