An Ex-General of the defunct Liberians United for Reconciliation and Democracy or LURD has described the issue of reconciliation as paramount.
Christian Beltehson, formerly ‘General Leopard’ reminded Liberians that it was time for Liberians put aside their differences and unite for the growth and development of the Country, strongly expressing the belief that Liberia can only progress developmentally if and only if every sector of the Country unitea and speaks with one voice.
The former LURD General said reconciliation must be the primary focus as the basis for moving the Country forward, other than the current level of politics that is hampering progress.
He said Liberia could develop based on the collective efforts of every single individual, urging those speaking on issues affecting the ordinary Liberians to carefully research before making any public comment.
Mr. Beltheson, now coordinator of the Peace Alliance for Conflict Reconciliation in Liberia noted that the act of making public statements without proper investigation has the ability to cause confusion in the Country.
The ex-LURD General make the comments in an interview recently with our Bong County Correspondent in Gbarnga.
