Reproductive Health W/shop Ends in Bong

A two – day working session on reproductive health has ended in Gbarnga, Bong County. The working session – organized by ACTIONAID Liberia, was intended to review access to reproductive health services in Bong County.

Speaking to our Bong County during the working session last weekend, ACTIONAID Liberia Program Officer Jestina Kanneh told our Bong County correspondent that they were attempting to identify the available services on women health to find out the extent to which women in the county were accessing health services.

Madam Kanneh added that reproductive health needed serious attention, noting that women must be aware of the services available at health facilities in Bong County. She expressed the belief that there’s an urgent need to discuss the challenges and way forward for reproductive health, especially in Bong County where their project is running.

According to the ACTIONAID program Officer, her institution was committed to seeing a conducive environment for reproductive health and the need to reduce maternal and child mortality. Participants of the two-day event were drawn from various institutions, including the Liberia National Police, Bong County Health Team, women organizations and other stakeholders.
