Sanniquellie Residence Burns

A four-bedroom house got burnt on Monday in the provincial City of Sanniquellie in Nimba County, north of Liberia.

According to the New Dawn Nimba County Correspondent, the cause of the fire, which started at 3 in the afternoon on Monday, is yet to be established.

Our correspondent quoted the owner of the four-bedroom house, Martha n Manbalemea, as saying besides the destruction of the building, she also lost the amounts of US$13,000.00 and $L27,000.00, as well as other valuable items.

Madam Manbalemea, a widow and employee of the 8th Judicial Circuit Court in Sanniquellie, told our Nimba correspondent that she was at her church when the incident occurred in her Power Plant Community.

When contacted by our Correspondent, police in the city said because there was no report of such nature before them, they could not act.

Meanwhile, the victim- Madam Manbalemea, is appealing to the  NIMBA County Administration, National Disaster Relief Commission, Nimba Legislative Caucus, as well as humanitarian organizations, among others, to assist in her recovery efforts.
