Sherriff Switches Club

Liberians appear to be increasingly eyeing the European leagues as a starting point for a better football career. With more than half a dozen in Sweden, the Dutch league has become another terrain for the Liberians.

A young Liberian forward, Youssif Sheriff, who just returned to Holland after a two week visit to Liberia, has settled a deal with 2nd Division outfit Roda23 Football club upon his return to Holland.

Striker sheriff joined the club nearly two months since his returned. He was a member of the club “Roda23 Football club” during the club’s last fixture of the season against Ajax Football Club junior side playing in the 2nd Division on Sunday.

Sheriff was contracted by 3rd Division side Hilversum FC at the start of the season, partnering with fellow Liberian Sekou Kamara who functioned for Hilversum FC as a center and right back.
