Skills Rewarded!

A Liberian has reaped what could be seen as a fortunate but merited comptroller post at the Ministry of Education upon acquiring a master degree in the United States.

A release reaching this paper says Mr. Samuel G. Zulon was one of the beneficiaries of a scholarship said to be sponsored by the United States Aid for International Development (USAID) through its project Liberia forecast to the US to acquire requisite training or skills in the field of accountancy for two years.

Zulon is said to have returned to Liberia with a master degree after successful training in the USA. The release said Liberian students under the USAID sponsorship had been studying at the Colorado State University, Fort Colns, Colorado USA. But it did not specify how many students had left the country for the past two years to acquire skill training under the USAID accountancy training initiative sponsorship.

In the same vein, the Ministry has made a transfer of post between Zulon and Victor Korlewalah who had been acting as director during Zulon’s stay in the US. Victor is said to have been transferred as director of internal audit within the ministry, while Zulon serves the comptroller post.
