Three Home Matches Pending

The Liberian national team recent 32 points secured on the world football ranking came as a result of excellent output from Lone Star early preparation for the WAFU tournament and African nations Cup qualifiers.

Maintaining and increasing in ranking require adequate preparation from more test matches that will strengthen the national teams as they embark on qualifiers and other upcoming international tournaments.

The Liberia Football Association has announced three international home matches for the senior team as Lone Star keep seeking methods that will restore the confidence and trust of fans that the team is back on it winning spree.

LFA President Musa Bility said that Liberia has concluded ninety percent of the modalities to host the Gambian national team on the 24th of July in Monrovia in a friendly as part of the July 26th independence celebration.

Lone Star will also host two international matches in one week: Liberia will welcome Angola on august 10, 2011 on a FIFA match day and will test the legs of Tanzania on August 14, 2011 in Monrovia.

“Those friendly are expected to sharpen the national team format as she kickoff intensive preparation for her next away qualifier to Zimbabwe” Bility explained.

Meanwhile, Lone Star deputy coach, Kelvin Sebwe has disclosed that the friendly against Gambia will be dominated by home base players but added that “only those professionals that will be in the country will be listed for the Gambian home clash”.
