Alpha Phi Alpha gives to Bong youth group

The Alpha Phi Alpha brotherhood of Monrovia has presented two thousand, seven hundred United States Dollars to the youth of Sinyea in Suakoko District, Bong County. The money was provided to the young people of Sinyea as assistance toward the construction of their youth center.

Presenting the money on behalf of the group, the President of Alpha Phi Alpha  said their fraternity believes in giving assistance as a way of developing society. Mr. T. Nelson Williams said he was happy to identify with the young people of the community who are engaged in meaningful activities.

Mr. Williams, also Managing Director of the Liberia Petroleum Refining Company or LPRC, commended Cuttington University President Dr. Henrique F. Tokpah for taking the organization to the community.

He called on residents of Sinyea to give their fullest support to the CU President, emphasizing that he is the ‘best man’ for the senatorial job. Receiving the money, the Youth President of Sinyea, Roland Kollie commended Alpha Phi Alpha and Dr. Tokpah for making such a huge donation. Mr. Kollie assured the group that the two thousand, seven hundred United States Dollars will be wisely used in the interest of the young people.

He disclosed that they have already established the friends of Tokpah in Sinyea to give their support to the outstanding Bong County educator. Roland Kollie appealed to members of Alpha Phi Alpha to always visit the Sinyea community.

At the presentation, Representative Prince Karmue Moye pledged one pick-up to the friends of Tokpah as an initial contribution to see the Dr. Tokpa becoming Bong County’s next senator.
