The Founder and Proprietor of the David G. Barshell School System, located at Barclay Mission Community in Paynesville, Ceebee Barshell has reminded the Press Union of Liberia or PUL about its “bogus award” presented to him by some members of the organization as best Educator of the Year 2015.

Mr. Barshell said the award given him was not actually done in good faith, but rather to undermine his credibility and the institution. He told a New Dawn interview recently, during a handling over ceremony for four yellow machines to the people of District # 3 in Paynesville, that the purpose of the machines was to help enhanced major community projects such as feeder roads, hand pumps, as well as others to move the community forward.

He further indicated that the machines given to District # 3 will also be accessed by other communities across Montserrado Country. Mr. Barshell said the machines will also expand its earth-moving activities to Gbarpolu County, so as to help enhance some of its road projects for accessibility by vehicles in that part of Liberia.

He put the cost of machines at more than Three Hundred, Sixteen Thousand United States Dollars, noting that there were more to come for him as a Liberian. He assured that he will not be deterred by any form of negative comments from anyone concerning his work in Liberia.

“Being a representative for District # 3 for Paynesville or not, I will still continue with my developmental goal,” he emphasized. Meanwhile, Mr. Barshell has disclosed the commencement of a
University project in Paynesville to help enhance youth and quality education so as to help make them better leaders for the future.

Barshell indicated that the construction of the university was in full swim, stressing that upon its completion, it would accommodate several students. The university is after him – The David G. Barshell University.
