Brighter Future Academy offers 60 scholarships

The Brighter Future Academy School in Paynesville City has provided 60 scholarships to sixty students for academic 2016/2017.According to statistics released by the school, 10 of the scholarships are for students with academic excellence, 26 for footballers and 24 for kickballers.

The principal of the school Mr. Jonathan K. Tokpah said beneficiaries of the scholarship scheme were subjected to a vigorous screening process to prove their academic, football and kickball skills before they were accepted.

He disclosed that as one of the grassroots institutions in Paynesville, the academy accepts low tuition from war-affected parents who do not have money to sponsor their children’s education.
In a related development, Tokpah said the school will shortly embark on construction of a twenty-classroom annex to address the education needs of citizens and appealed to the Ministry of Education (MOE) for financial subsidy to buttress its effort in fighting illiteracy in Liberia.
